Study Skills and Psychology
Everyone can benefit from learning cognitive science-driven study skills. All of my courses have a unique focus on psychology research-backed study skills and metacognition: thinking about thinking. Students not only learn efficiently, using techniques derived from cognitive science (including spaced repetition, active recall, and self-testing), but they also learn the underlying psychology so they can understand why those techniques are so effective. In a dedicated study skills course, students can take a deep dive into their own brains and develop a complex understanding of what it means to learn. Students learn to take ownership of their learning process and learn to apply these research-based study skills to help them succeed in middle school, high school, and college.
Every course is bespoke, tailored to meet each student's needs.
